Oh Toodles, Party People!! I can’t believe it’s been 5 days since my last post!! We have a nasty little cold bug making it’s way through the house, starting with the little princess, so that’s fun. BUT I have a T.O.N of Mickey Mouse Party stuff to share this week. Woot Woot.
The big decision, where to start!? Party Hats it is!
This totally cute Mickey Mouse theme was designed for a lovely client, who is having a DOUBLE party for her daughter and son. She wanted it to coordinate, but be appropriate for a boy and girl. So Keeping that in mind, I worked hard to find a nice balance. For the party hats, I made them a little different by swapping out the pink on one hat with black on the other & topped them off with cute little DIY yarn poms.
Eek. I can’t wait to show off the rest of the meeska mooska cuteness.
What You Need:
– Thin Elastic (sewing section of any craft store)
– Downloadable Printable Mickey Mouse Party Hats
– Glue (I recommend Hot Glue)
First, print the hat of your choice onto your white cardstock and cut out. Next, starting at the top of your hat, gently roll, apply some glue and secure (align your entire hat, but do the top first) Once your glue is secure, apply glue to the rest of the “seam” and secure.
Next you need to make your pom to add to the top of your hat. Simply take a fork, string a piece of yarn through the center. Then you will horizontally wrap yarn around your fork. Take your first string and tie it around your wrapped yarn. Then Snip the edges, give your pom a little haircut to make it nice and round. Add glue to the bottom and attach to your hat.
